Social or Solitary?

Rabbits are generally social creatures and will benefit from a companion animal.

enclosure requirements

Minimum enclosure size is 8 square feet per rabbit (length x width of your enclosure).

Rabbits require A LOT of physical exercise; a minimum of 6 hours of day outside of their enclosure is required (if they are not permitted to roam free).

diet

Hay is the most important part of your rabbit’s diet and should make up approximately 70% of it. Hay is important as it is high in fibre, which keeps the digestive tract moving, thus helping to prevent blockages and stasis. Rabbits up to approximately 7 months old can be fed unlimited alfalfa hay, however adult rabbits should instead be fed a grass hay, such as Timothy, Brome or Orchard grass.

In addition to hay, rabbits should be fed a high-quality pellet that is high in fibre (minimum 18%), low in protein (maximum 15%) and low in calcium (maximum 1%).
