Status: Ready for adoption
Arrived: January
Species and Minimum Ethical Enclosure Requirement: Rat: the minimum enclosure size required is 4 cubic feet per rat.
Sex: Males
Age: 1 year
Location: Shelburne
What is their background story?:
They were all rescued from a high-kill shelter in Montreal after being found out in the cold.
What is their favourite activity?:
First and foremost, these boys love the company of each other and cuddling. They love to explore cardboard-made mazes and houses when allowed out of their cage. Oh, and when it comes to eating, they all love munching on delicious, crunchy snacks!
What is their favourite food?:
Steal cut oats, Shreddies cereal and yogurt rat snacks.
What is their best trait?:
They each have their own personality! Scampers is by far the most adventurous of the lot and the first to leave the cage to explore when given the opportunity, also the first to dive into his carefully prepared snack bowl to find whatever cruches best. Monty, the second to leave the cage, would be the quickest of the lot and will jump to find new heights so that he can gain the best vantage point in the room and sometimes perform the most graceful sneak pounce on his brothers. Inky joins his brothers after careful contemplation and evaluation of the room, and once his confidence has been built, he is just as playful and adventurous as his two brothers.
Final thoughts:
These lovable fluff balls deserve to go to a good home where they will receive all the love and attention.

Species and Minimum Ethical Enclosure Requirement: Rat: the minimum enclosure size required is 4 cubic feet per rat.
Sex: Female
Age: Mama Mia (~4 months), Pip (~2 months), Spritz (1 year 3 months)
Location: Toronto (west end)
What is their background story?:
Spritz originally came into foster in July 2025. At that time, she had a friend named Coco who was almost 3 years old. Sadly, Coco passed away recently, which left Spritz by herself in need of some friends.
Mama Mia and Pip were found outside on Boxing Day and luckily found their way to All Creatures Rescue. Since Spritz needed friends, her foster mum thought it might be worth a try to bond her to Mama Mia and Pip. They instantly got along and the rest is history.
What is their favourite activity?:
All three of them LOVE to cuddle together in their hammock, give their foster mum lots of kisses, and climb around their enclosure. Mama Mia loves running in a rat-appropriate-sized wheel, Pip loves stockpiling her food, and Spritz enjoys climbing to the highest part of their enclosure. Spritz is definitely the most confident one, but Mama Mia and Pip are getting better with pets and handling.
What is their favourite food?:
They like rolled oats, but are open to all different types of treats. At first they are hesitant with new food, but then they smell how good it is and give it a try.
What is their best trait?:
It's great to see them opening up to humans. They had a rough start to life, so it's great to see them enjoying it now.
Final thoughts:
They are stunning rats; Spritz and Pip have rich, dark chocolate brown coats while Mama Mia is white with subtle grey markings on her head.

Conner; the top eared grey one, is brave and social, he loves new people and climbing, jumping, and escaping every cage. Mikey; the dumbo grey is sweet and shy, and loves to be gently pet on the head.

Arrived: December 3, 2025
Species and Minimum Ethical Enclosure Requirement: Rat: the minimum enclosure size required is 4 cubic feet per rat.
Sex: Male
Age: 10 months old (born on March 28, 2025)
Location: Oakville
What is their background story?:
These two boys were an owner surrender due to not being able to handle them easily. They came to us from Montreal just before the end of the year, and have slowly been settling in. We suspect both boys to be blind, and are easily startled because of this. Zach is nervous on his own, and is much braver when Bryce is with him. Bryce is defensive of his cage, and does not do well with hands. He is improving! He is very clear with his body language and needs someone willing to work with him on this.
Both boys love attention and ask for it every day, but don't always want it in the form of being pet or touched by hands. They are very happy to be in a space with you, lie down next to you, and hop up in your lap and be on your shoulders.
Bryce can be sensitive and flipflop on how close he wants you to him. He needs someone to meet him where he is and respect his space and boundaries. Bryce has been biting as his first means of communication to maintain his space. As he has settled in, he has been better, but can bite down hard when he is upset. He needs a lot of patience. He might cheekily slide up next to you to lie down and cuddle, but don't think about petting him. He makes the boundaries. Zach is just happy to be here.
What is their favourite activity?:
The boys love to chew wooden blocks and toys. They use all their toys, rearrange their house, and chew on everything they can. They will chew any wires if given the chance! They might also consider chewing any wooden furniture.
What is their favourite food?:
These boys love all the food they are offered. They enthusiastically take everything and are very happy. Hand feeding them is an acceptable use of hands to them.
What is their best trait?:
Despite their nerves and issues with hands, the boys are really brave and interested in people. They don't hide in their cage, they come running when they hear voices. They love to come out and have free run time. Zach is also now accepting pets even if he's a bit nervous still!
Final thoughts:
Zach and Bryce need a home that has experience reading Rat body-language right now. Bryce would not be good in a home with children as he has bitten a few times.
