What is their background story?:
Remy came to us as a rescued reptile feeder. He was in a tank with several other rats that were all younger than him and picking on him. It is possible that Remy was previously a pet and surrendered only to end up being labeled a "feeder rat" as he is a Dumbo, and Dumbo rats are rarely not often bought or this reason.
We are not sure his exact age, but we do believe that he is most likely a middle aged to young senior.
Remy needed to be separated from the others he was rescued with because he was being picked on and bullied. An attempt was made to bond him to another solo boy, however he became very stressed and introverted. For this reason, we believe Remy would do best as a solo boy.
What is their favourite activity?:
Remy absolutely loves sleeping in his Sputnik in the day, and exploring his many tunnels and baskets after a nice nap. He enjoys doing laps around his cage while he is out and will often bring his snacks behind it to have a peaceful meal. He can be shy at first, but once he feel comfortable with you, he has no problems showing you his love of exploring.
What is their favourite food?:
Remy loves his Gerber Puff Treats. His favourite flavours are sweet potato and peach. He also enjoys sweet peppers, and we will try pea fishing very soon!
What is their best trait?:
Remy is one of the sweetest boys I have met. He has really come out of his shell since becoming solo and being able to go at his own pace. Not to say he is slow though! He gets his zoomies like all other ratties. He loves to go in sleeves and explore to see where they lead!
Final thoughts:
Remy is just finishing a round of medication for a possible Upper Respiratory infection, which is common for rats. After he finishes, he will be ready to find his forever bachelor pad!

What is their background story?:
Papa John (PJ) joined us from a rescue just off the border of Quebec. He and his 'lady friend' found themselves with 10 little ones! ACR offered to take on the family, and mom currently lives with their four daughters, while PJ lives with his six sons. PJ has been on several long trips and has experienced several homes in his short life. Despite this, he is gentle and sweet as can be.
What is their favourite activity?:
Papa John is a sweet guy with a stellar personality. He is fairly young and still has some good energy to him. He's been known to take a morning jog on his wheel, followed by a hearty and nutritious breakfast... and second breakfast... and third. Listen, he's still got some growing to do! And with six kids to take care of, he's earned it. He absolutely loves his little guys and is happy to join their cuddle puddle. He likes to keep his coat fresh and clean, and you'll often catch him grooming is luscious, soft coat.
What is their favourite food?:
PJ is not picky! He likes greens, fruits, cheerios, pasta, chicken, eggs... in fact, we've yet to find something he doesn't like.
What is their best trait?:
PJ is curious and kind. He's eager to greet you at the cage (unless he's otherwise occupied in a cuddle puddle) and appreciates pets. Despite lacking consistency in his early life, he is very trusting of people. He is eager to bond and with age and time, we believe he'll become quite the snuggle bug.

What is their background story?:
The Pizza Pals are a lovely group of boys who are being fostered with their father, Papa John. They were part of an intake of 12 rats, including their mother and four sisters. This group has 6 boys, four of whom are ruby-eyed white, and two of whom are black like their father. With time/age, the white boys appear to be developing Himalayan colouring! These guys join us from a sanctuary, just off the border of Quebec.
What is their favourite activity?:
Boston is a gorgeous black fancy rat with the sweetest little whiskered face. Boston has been in a foster home for just over a week and is slowly warming up to his people. He’s still a bit skittish when it comes to loud noises and fast movements, but with time and confidence, we just know his curious personality will shine through. Despite being on the shy side, Boston is gentle as can be. His coat is SO soft and shiny, and he keeps himself in tip-top condition, grooming himself to the nines. Boston loves the company of other rats and is his most confidence and cozy with a companion. His favourite activity: Snuggling with his brothers!
What is their favourite food?:
Boston loves rice puffs and nuts (sparingly). That being said, he isn't picky!
What is their best trait?:
Boston is a gentle guy with a strong desire to trust. With patience and time, we're confident he'll warm up and be a fabulous companion.
Final thoughts:
Boston is young and energetic and would love a big enclosure to play with his friends!

What is their favourite activity?:
DiGiorno came in as the most scared little fellow, but in just a week’s time has already begun to settle down and trust his people. DiGiorno is working on being more comfortable being picked up, but once he’s in your hands, he loves a good kiss and cuddle. Di is soft natured, and we suspect he’s going to be a pretty chill guy once he’s through his teenage months. His favourite activity: Makin’ the coziest nests.
What is their favourite food?:
Di loves a peanut butter dog biscuit!
What is their best trait?:
He has a fabulous temperament and is really beginning to demonstrate a fondness for people!
Final thoughts:
DiGiorno is a sweet guy who gets along so well with others. He'd make a great friend!

What is their favourite activity?:
Panago is a feisty, spirited little guy. Full of energy and smart as a whip, he’ll keep you entertained for hours. Go-go (his well-deserved nickname) is always looking for an adventure. At this time, he doesn’t love being held, though this may change as he matures. With that being said, he has no bite history and chooses to use his words (squeaks) rather than his mighty rat fists when picked up. His favourite activity: Running!
What is their favourite food?:
Everything! Panago isn't picky, but he especially loves salmon dog treats and blueberries.
What is their best trait?:
Panago is super smart and loves puzzles and treat toys. He's super fun to watch!
Final thoughts:
Due to his rascal-like nature, he might do well with a calm older role model, or one of his more settled brothers (DiGiorno might help balance this guy out)!
