What is their background story?:
He was very well loved and cared for by his previous owner but they couldn't take him with them in their move.
What is their favourite activity?:
The very first thing he did when he arrived was start foraging. He is very food motivated but he also loves to dig and burrow as well as run on his wheel.
What is their favourite food?:
He loves his seed mix and lab blocks. His is a little bit picky with his veggies and treats but so far his favorites are broccoli, radish, and freeze dried chicken.
What is their best trait?:
He is very curious and nosy. He comes over when I open the door to his enclosure (mostly looking for treats) but you can also expect him to peek out a few times during the day as well.
Final thoughts:
He is very food motivated and has become quite desensitized to my hand and touch though he isn't quite comfortable with being picked up and held yet.

They were a surprise litter from the Niagara Humane 🙂
What is their favourite activity?:
Sneaking out at night to eat all their mush and veggies. Running on their wheel and hamstering.
What is their favourite food?:
So far they like spinach, carrot, baby food mush (only to help them grow big and strong), cucumber and raspberry.
What is their best trait?:
Snickdoodle is very sweet and gentle. She is ok with hands in her cage right from the start. Is good with being scooped up and then will walk into your hands.
Final thoughts:
She will chatter happily when you are petting her. She is a very sweet hamster.

Kumquat was born along with 8 other babies from a hamster that came in pregnant to the rescue.
What is their favourite activity?:
She loves to build comfy nests. Loves to spin on her wheel as well.

Sunflower seeds and carrots
What is their best trait?:
She loves to sleep in Kleenex boxes. She will steal a sunflower seed out of your hand very delicately.

Kumquat is still fairly skiddish around being picked up but is slowly coming around.

Gemma is part of a large litter from Lincoln County Humane Society.
What is their favourite activity?:
Gemma is a curious girl. She loves her wheel and exploring in and outside of her cage.

Gemma loves lettuce & walnuts!
What is their best trait?:
Gemma was given her name because I knew she was a 'gem' when I first saw her. She is very friendly. She likes to stand up when I enter the room. She is fine with getting picked up. Super sweet, & lovely, chill girl!

Peachy came to us from the Niagara Humane Society along with her siblings.

He loves treats like spinach and blueberry. He loves to run around outside of the cage and enjoys gentle pets on the back.

What is their best trait?:
Does well with being held as long as you give him time to wake up first before holding.

What is their background story?:
Melody was born along with 8 other babies from a hamster that came in pregnant to the rescue.
What is their favourite activity?:
Melody loves her wheel! Like many hamsters, running and running is her fav. She also enjoys burrowing in bedding to make a safe, warm nest. She does enjoy a gentle snuggle and kisses on the cheek too, once she learns to trust you.
What is their favourite food?:
No treat has been turned down - Melody is certainly a gal who enjoys a tasty snack! Broccoli, spinach, blueberry, carrot, peas, banana, all have been a hit for her! She also enjoys foraging for seeds that have been scattered around her cage.
What is their best trait?:
Melody is a gorgeous, quiet and soft-footed gal who currently greets the world with a hint of caution. Her gentle nature has started to shine through as she slowly learns to trust people. Patient hands and kind voices will help her continue to blossom.

In time, Melody will become a good friend to whoever opens their heart to her — she is a gentle, curious, and ever so sweet girl!

What is their background story?:
Opie is one 8 pups from an accidental litter and surrendered to the Niagara humane society. Opie and most of the other pups where then surrendered to All Creatures Rescue after they were separated from mom.
What is their favourite activity?:
Opie is still a getting use to human hands so he loves to run and hide when he hears you. He loves running on his wheel now that he knows how to use it. He really likes free run time, but you have to catch him first.
What is their favourite food?:
So far Opie likes pretty much anything. When he first arrived he wasn’t too interested in food. He was given baby food mush which got him started to eat again.
What is their best trait?:
Everything about Opie is his best traits. He is a fun little guy but is growing. He is shy but still learning. He all around adorable.
Final thoughts:
We are still getting to know Opie and he is still learning on what it is to be a hamster. As he gets a bit older and socialized a bit more he will do well in any home.
